Where golfers get better – together
Best tip you’ve ever received?
Golf advice is everywhere.
Friends.
YouTube.
Instructors.
Random strangers at the driving range.
Some tips stick.
Some disappear before the next bucket of balls.
And every once in a while, somebody says something that completely changes how you think about the game.
So let's hear it.
What's the best golf tip you've ever received?
Could be:
- a swing tip
- a putting tip
- a mental game lesson
- course management advice
- practice advice
- or something so simple you're surprised it worked
No wrong answers.
Sometimes the best golf tips aren't complicated at all.
Drop yours below.
Let's hear it.
One good tip can save a lot of bad golf.
For me, it was surprisingly simple.
Slow down.
That's it.
Not:
* buy new clubs
* rebuild your swing
* learn 14 new drills
* watch another 6 hours of YouTube videos
Just slow down.
At first I didn't really believe it.
I thought more effort meant more distance.
More speed meant better golf.
Turns out my golf game strongly disagreed.
The slower and more controlled I feel, the better I usually play.
The hard part isn't understanding the advice.
The hard part is remembering it when I'm standing on the tee box convinced this is finally the time I should swing harder.
Golf has a funny way of teaching the same lesson over and over until it finally sticks.
Still working on that one.
