bogeytoscratch — Wed, 03 Jun 2026 11:36:49 +0000

Golf has a funny way of creating obsessions.

One month it's your driver.

The next month it's putting.

Then somehow you're researching golf balls, launch monitors, training aids, or watching swing videos at 11:00 PM like you're preparing for a major championship.

So let's hear it.

What's your current golf obsession?

Could be:
equipment
putting
short game
course management
swing mechanics
practice routines
launch monitors
golf YouTube
golf travel
anything golf-related

No judgment here.

We've all gone down a golf rabbit hole or two.

Or twenty.

Drop your current obsession below.

Let's hear it.
Because golf somehow turns normal people into part-time researchers.

What’s the dumbest golf purchase you’ve made?

We’ve all done it.

Saw a club.
A training aid.
A gadget.
A putting device.
A swing trainer.
A miracle cure for a slice.

And thought:

"Yep. This is definitely the thing that's going to fix my game."

Then three weeks later it was sitting in the garage collecting dust.

So let's hear it.

What's the dumbest golf purchase you've made?

Could be:
a club
a training aid
a gadget
a subscription
a golf accessory
or anything else that sounded like a great idea at the time.

No judgment here.

Golf marketing has convinced all of us at some point that the next purchase was the answer.

Drop yours below.

Let's hear it.
Bonus points if you were completely convinced it was going to change everything.

What Got You Into Golf?

bogeytoscratch — Wed, 27 May 2026 11:15:04 +0000

Settle in. Let’s talk golf.

Everybody has a story.

Some people grew up playing.
Some got dragged to the course by friends.
Some got addicted after one pure shot.
Some are still trying to figure out why they keep coming back after chunking three wedges in a row.

So —
what got YOU into golf?

Was there a moment where the game clicked?

A friend?
A parent?
A random scramble?
A YouTube rabbit hole?
Mid-life crisis purchase of irons?
Pure frustration turning into obsession?

No perfect answers here.

Just real golf stories.
